Summary
The Yamato, having escaped the explosion, lands at the Jupiter moon Ganymede base and begins major repair work. Earth, having lost its fleet, falls into chaos with evacuating citizens. Zworder, who has sent a fleet and ordered Earth's unconditional surrender, demonstrates his power by pulverizing the moon with concentrated fire from the city fortress. 24 hours later, Kodai intercepts the Earth Federation government's surrender transmission, refuses to surrender, and launches the Yamato for a final battle.
