Episode 23 “Shukumei no Taiketsu!”

The city fortress, the Yamato's warp target, is already approaching Earth. There, Gamilas attack aircraft appear. Dessler lays magnetic mines using an instantaneous matter transfer device, sealing off the wave motion gun. Just before the Dessler cannon fires, Kodai performs a small warp with the mines and rams the Yamato into the Dessler ship, challenging them to hand-to-hand combat. However, Shima is thrown into space by the blast. Kodai, who has broken in, encounters Dessler.
