After leaving the solar system, the Yamato receives a transmission from Teresa and attempts a short warp. However, the transmission is a trap set by Admiral Goland of the comet empire's Telezart forward fleet. After emerging from the warp, the Yamato is caught in a space current and falls into the Sargasso space where time flows abnormally.
