Gaidel, the Galman Empire's Eastern Front Commander, provides Dagon with a new carrier fleet. Near Planet Los in the Sagittarius constellation, the Yamato rescues an Earth Space Development Meteorological Bureau ship stranded in a space current. The fleet captain, who has witnessed the large fleet, requests an escort from the Yamato, but after meeting Ageha in the mess hall, he learns about the Yamato's mission. After withdrawing his request, the group heads towards the observation station when Dagon's new fleet appears…
