Uchû Senkan Yamato

This pilot film was produced as a proposal for the TV series of “Uchû Senkan Yamato” (Space Battleship Yamato) to Yomiuri TV. Since the music by composer Hiroshi Miyagawa was not yet completed, different songs were used instead. The LaserDisc contains this pilot in its original form, but the version with complete audio became impossible for the DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions due to copyright issues. As a result, the original narration and sound effects were replaced, and only the BGM tracks "Mugen ni Hirogaru Daiuchū" and "Chikyū o Tobidatsu Yamato" play throughout the pilot.
